Have you tried lubricating the throughout bearing where it slides on the snout of the transmission??
By commercial do you mean it has the larger V8 transmission and clutch?

last one I did I used a hack saw to nearly cut through in 2 places near each other then used a cape chisel to peel out the piece, then the bushings fell out, then used a socket to push new bushings...

So you are loosing voltage in the headlight switch, is it reproduction, or original ford--- the cheating cure is to put heavy power wire to relay as feed, and use weak headlight switch to work relay

The earliest ones had nuts in the valley for the mains, no crankcase vent tube, then studs for mains, no vent tube, 35 started the vent tube, these were all Babbitt mains, then more or less in 36...

not all have that spring/plunger, there are several different designs, to complicate the differences more I have used parts of Citroen drives in flatheads and A, and used "A" drive in Citroen

It's hard to see what style rails you have, on my brtothers model A cab we made a wood form and glued felt in the channel with "right stuff", using the wood made slightly thicker than the window...

if the gauge moves it is most likely good

there is a good chance the float arm is sticking

the float can be checked by dipping it in boiling water and looking for bubbles

If it is tire size or gearing issues the odometer will be off, if the odometer is correct it is in the unit itself
