Re: Remove/Replace Headlight Reflector

I just push the reflector to one side to release from the tab if needed or just pop it out. The tabs are there to keep it from rotating. The original reflector had the socket offset by just a little...

You might look at this;
McMaster-Carr 1/2 inch High-Strength Fiberglass Cloth Tape #7574A11

They might have wider tapes.

For stem size new valves; Original style with the...

Re: pan install

I make a loop around it so it can be undone from the outside and hang it off ether the manifolds or one of the studs. Then when some of the pan bolts are started I pull the wire out.

Re: Spark Control . . .

Model T or A yes.

Think of a car with vacuum advance when there is less vacuum there is less advance, the timing is retarded. You are the replacement for the vacuum so use the timing lever as...

Re: long speedo cable

Look online or in the phone book for speedometer repair shops. They should/might be able to make up a new cable with proper ends. Here is one from a quick search;...

Re: #1 cylinder not doing it's share

Sorry but, without us being there to see whats what, the only suggestion would be to check the total length of the old valves and have the new ones ground to an average length. As long as there is...

Re: Oil pressure . . . normal?

It is not a pressure pump it is a flow pump. My suggestion is take the gauge off and plug the hole. All the pump does is move the oil from the pan to valve chamber on a stock engine. The pumps are...

People ask the same...
