The hills in the background looked familiar to me. I did some digging and that car wrecker is about 14km north of where I live. Coincidental you should post that pic.

XA Falcons have gone through the roof in NZ. People are asking 40 to 70 thousand dollars for ridgy didgy sedans, that is just bog standard saloons from 200 six, 250 six to v8 Fairmonts. Wish I still...

Coopman where did you pull that photo from? That is in New Zealand going by the number (license) plates on those cars.

Ralph I saw a late 40's to early 50's Hillman Minx entering the drive through at 4.19 on your one, that would not be something you saw every day in North America. We got lots of these Little English...

That would "rip your underwear" but it could have been worse. A fire extinguisher is something I lack, this is quite frankly scary and I am going to go out and get one. Good luck with the rebuild it...

If it is cardboard liner get some vinyl spray. I used that on the bitumen board on the inner firewall....came out great.

New Zealand 46/48 Fords have RHD versions of the 41 dash. The factory machine screws have a very short shank. Don't get them too long or they will dimple the trim on the outside.

I have the VSM signal stat 900 type in my car ( very good unit) and made my own wiring harness up wrapped it in black insulation tape and ran it through the chassis rails . I wired the front signal...
