The 32 Vicky is in my wildest dream, The first I saw was a BGS(B Gas Supercharged) at Cordova, Ill. drags. I was sold. This was in 1958 or 59. The urge remains.

It is foolish to avoid using a torque wrench for those tiny PP bolts. Use 20 lbs. for new bolts and 18 for used parts.

Basic mechanicals seem adequate. Missing is likely ignition related problem. Plugs are indicating miss firing or over rich condition.

Jack makes a very good point---are the block and heads flat? From the gasket picture it looks very suspect. Borrow a precision straight edge and do some investigating with a feeler gage.

Several companies have 12 point screws with reduced wrench diameter but with shoulder washer. Absolutely the best solution for using a socket and ratchet.

If the total weight is centered on the crank pin balancing should be accomplished. Usually the separate halves are weighed to within a gram before final positioning.
