I find it quicker to take out the floorboard and remove the trans top and then you just pour it in to level .This is for when you fill an empty trans ,also you can check gear condition.This works...

The AA trucks with the 4 speed transmission had the pedal shaft on the transmission case not the bell housing. They were shallower than a regular bell housing so lent themselves to transmission...

A few years back I rebuilt my AA trucks 4 speed transmission ,the bearings had water damage as the 4 speed suffers from rain water down the reverse guard rod on the shifter . They are not shower...

I was loosing water and I noticed my pump shaft was going ahead and astern when I revved the engine . I deduced that maybe that was the cause as tightening the packing did not cure the waterpump leak...

The problem was just the positive post ,both battery cables and the ground strap from trans top to frame were new . I got to thinking maybe some kind of preservative but why would it need it ???
