Bill, also be aware that today's fuel will percolate after shut down of a warm engine. I have a newer Carpenter carb. , with regulator in line set at 2.5-3 lbs. When engine heat heats the float bowl...

Tubman has got a good idea. I run the stock load a matic & it works fine with the stock carb. Isky cam & Offy heads. 51 Merc's sugestion is on the mark too.

I'm in norhtern Ohio & run 180 stats in my 52 Victoria with an 8BA. Even on the hottest days it runs 180-190 degrees & performs well.
