volume 50, #2 of "old cars" magazine, just out, contained an interesting article re: an engine put together many years ago and run in a '32 roadster. this was a 239, naturally aspirated with 3 97's...

crt performance offers a drop in, no additional box electronic dizzy for the 8ba complete with both mechanical and vacuum advance, 3 wire hook-up, for $160.00. seems almost too good to be true even...

this is a rod, 21a '42 dizzy with points, 12 volt, blue bosch coil. the subaru resistor was on the car for maybe 2 years, but not a lot of miles. i have repaired cars for over 50 years with hundreds...

ignition resister
just fried a subaru resister on my front mount point type dizzy. (before you all start on the subby issue, one of my "knowledgable" flathead friends recommended this same resister as the best choice...

you NEED to plug the holes on each side of the block that the 59a heads don't cover. conversely you can use 8ba heads on a 59 block by plugging the extra holes in the heads.
