Just wondering, does the Miller OHV setup only make gains in HP and torque in the higher rpm ranges or does the Miller OHV also improve lower end torque response above say an available 6:1 or 6.5:1...

As was pointed out earlier. American Classic Radials sell for ~$280. ea. Yes, there may be an availability issue right now. The ACR's offer a smooth and grippy ride.

Found the seats comfortable enough and at the slow pace with the cackle of the A engine and tranny...

FWIW, other than "sounds like a Model A at idle", I am going to disqualify myself for the "does it sound noticeably differently at other throttle positions?"

I have a Weber carb and cast iron...

X2, That was commonly heard remark back in the 1960's and 70's when I would find Model A's in similar condition out in a field or behind a shed in Idaho farm country.

Old wives tale about a 5.5:1 or 6:1 high compression head taking out the bearings. I run a 6:1 Snyders head and get better mileage more power and a cooler running engine.
