I have an oil pressure switch on mine and it works fine.
Starts right up.
The switch doesn’t stop the engine from starting because you will have fuel in the bowl..

I put a oil pressure electric fuel pump switch on my 40 Ford to reduce this kind of issue.
Easy upgrade..

I have a 40 sedan with 52 flattie with offy heads. On pass side, two ports with elec. fan sensor in one port and gauge sensor in other. Drivers has one heater gauge fitting only.
