Re: lifter adjustment on 1939.
I ground the socket down on a Bench grounder to fit and welded a steel rod on side to fit between the radiator .
Pull spark plugs .

Model A are to short but again that’s just me . I’m not
A fan once there spit . As a wise bone and ball system there

Please don’t laugh but try the old plumbers trick . Stuff lots of white bread in the hole so it can hold the water back then JB weld

Let’s talk about V8 flathead head gasket
I see I the ole web there’s company’s that make various thickness composite head gaskets .
Anyone have any experience using them ? I see there gasket thickness over .100
