I agree don't glue them. Years ago they used to sell aftermarket seatbelt retractors that you could put on the belts. I don't know if they are still available.

I would check the leads coming from the coil You may have a bad connector on one of the leads.

I made my own battery tie down out of aluminum stock . I put the battery on an angle connected it to the hold down screws also used the model a square hold down . Works great.

Before of using any type of paint to a surface I use wax and grease remover. It is sold in many auto supply stores. I also wash the area before doing anything with dish soap. It removes any grease...

If and when you replace your keylock handle be prepared to do some filling. The repop handles are wider than the original handle (the square shaft that fits into the lock assembly).

My Pickup is a driver, I cleaned and sanded the wheels and sprayed them with their rust resistant primer and them sprayed them with rust-oleum yellow. They look good to me.
