If I can find the time, I'll post a link to the pertinent thread on the H.A.M.B.

It is telling that you say you "have not had any claims yet".

Re: Can you guys stand another picture problem?

Unless I misunderstand what you are saying, I suggest you try it again and actually send it. I'll bet it doesn't work.

Re: Insurance

David, I will have to disagree with you on this. We are seeing a lot of "newbies" on the board lately, and I'm sure some of them are unaware of the ins and outs of the "specialty" insurance business....

Re: Old car brake lights: Brighten em up for free! Safety improvement!

Re: 1953 V8 engine color

I always thought they were "Tangerine" (red/orange), but the Fordomatic may throw a joker in the deal.

Re: H-226 6cyl Leaking Oil

If the 6 is anything like the V8, the rear seal is tough to set up. The Fel-Pro gasket set that I used on my latest engine came with a special razor knife, a cutting guide, and a separate sheet of...

Re: Insurance

I couldn't agree more with the need for specialty insurance. I know some people who were very disappointed despite the promises and absurd claims made by their agents.

Insurance agents and...

Not when you can cut your rate in half for the same coverage from a reputable company.

Re: Can you guys stand another picture problem?

You can actually see the forum software upload the pictures from your computer to some working folder when you use the "paperclip" and hit "Upload". Each one of these pictures now permanently resides...

Re: Insurance

I just changed from Condon-Skelly to Hagerty. Their rate is half of my old one for the same coverage. When I initially saw the rate, I was quite skeptical and did a LOT of checking. It is legit, and...

Re: 1936 Ford Phaeton woods

He also has to log in to see if he has a PM. That's one of the nicer features of the H.A.M.B. forum software. It has the option of sending an email to your regular email address informing you that...

Re: Can you guys stand another picture problem?

Thanks to all (especially "51-Merc-CT") for the help; I've got it all figured out.

It's the price we pay for choosing to not upgrade forum software.

Re: Can you guys stand another picture problem?

Essentially, I was trying to post the PM pictures backwards from the method "51-Merc-CT" posted, and it didn't work. Whether it's some quirk of the forum software or a mistake I was making, I'm gonna...

Re: rubbish needle rollers

So you are saying that NTN (whoever they are) would or would not be a good source?

Re: 49 F1 Clutch problem

When it happened to me, the car had been stored in an unheated garage in Minnesota for 3 years.

Once it freed up, it worked like it had before.

Re: Can you guys stand another picture problem?

Thank you "51-Merc-CT". When I did it that way it worked. I went into my album first, "cut" the "IMG" URL, and went to "New Message". I "paste"d the paste buffer into the message and added the text....

Can you guys stand another picture problem?

I tried to send a PM with a picture in it. The picture was in a public album I have on the Barn called "PM Pictures". I added the URL of the image I wanted to send using the "Insert Image" button to...

Re: Need radio (w/ 5 presets) for 47 Mercury

Sorry for the levity; I hope you find what you're looking for, as it is obvious from your initial post.

My response was motivated by the fact that after I had spent several hundred dollars getting...

For forum member "Pdstark"

Phillip,

For some reason, I couldn't send a picture in a PM, so I'll post it here. I got this picture from another person I sold a condenser to who mounted it on a '52 Mercury. He says it look...

Re: 49 F1 Clutch problem

I had this same problem with my '51 when I stored it for a couple of years. We took the car out on a deserted road in neutral. put it in gear and push started it. It broke free quite quickly.
