I have a NOCO & an E-Tek......I love the NOCO as it has the ability to select both voltage and battery type. I bought the E-tek on a friends recomendation and it says it charges batteries 5V-12V. ...

Thanks JSEERY there was a chap on a earlier posted working on a 41 with two, figures that was changed along the way AND shame on me for thinking it was right.....Obvious not my years!!!

Up to, and at least on my early 39 Mercury (Oct 38 Production) your tapped head set up would be correct as you would have only had one temperature probe for the gauge in the left head point rearward....

What did you check your battery with??? If a VO meter that's not necessarily and indicator of a "good" battery. You need to check them with a hydrometer and check each cell!!! you could have a bad...

AND you can say that for just about all the years hence forward, 33.34.35 etc etc.....Unless the owner is more "concours" minded MOST years you will find them "missing". It's my first "go to" item...

IF both are drilled then "most" likely it 1940 or up as one would be for the right hand temperature probe and the other would have been for the water heater outlet/shut off valve!!
