Re: odd rear brake drum 30 coupe

Re: Zenith carb

Would sticking a rare earth magnet on the outside bottom of the tank catch and hold rust particles? I have a bunch that I "rescued" from old hard drives.

Re: 29 Tudor crank pulley question

They're not all 1-3/8", the one on my '31 CCPU is 1-1/4" and I've heard of 1-5/16" ones.

Re: Dsitributor Sight Glass Drip Oiler

Unless the drip oiler is shut off when the car is parked for extended periods, like overnight or longer, it's going to put too much oil into the distributor.

Re: Testing a cutout

the 1M1183A should work fine, the A says there is a difference but is not enough to worry about.

From Digi-Key tech expert: The only real differences I see is that the 1183A has a higher current...

Re: Rear leaf spring questions

Definitly not a good idea to use all thread, it's too soft. Get the proper bolt w/the square head.

Re: Oil pressure

Re: Testing a cutout

When buying a diode cut out be sure to get one of the proper polarity for the vehicle that you plan on putting it on, as they are polarity sensitive.

Re: Oil pressure

Thanks for that bit of info, I was wondering if or how much a full flow oil filter would affect the oil pressure in a Model A engine.

Re: New Front Wheel Bearings

The bearings should be a slip fit as they are supposed to slowly turn when the vehicle is moving. this prevents the bearing from only wearing in one spot (the bottom).

Re: Con Rod Nuts

Being that 15mm is so close, try a few different 15mm wrenches or sockets, you may find one that fits snugly, not too tight, not too loose.

Re: No Start - Loud Pops

Throw that Nurex wrench away and set the timing the Ford way, as described in the link in post #10.
