Lube ??

Customers unit for test only. Unit was so dry my distributor machine didnt want to turn it , points are oxidized from setting etc.
Clean , lube with Mobil 1 wheel bearing grease and Marvel oil ,...

Yes i agree they really dont make sense sometimes . If ya look at the one on the right it has a arrow and a * at 65 HP and 165 ft lbs thats where the torque and HP meet 2200 rpm.

You sure can , however they run $61 from us and the crab fa54 for the crab is very good condensor) is free with the rebuild. SO its all about the look......

Tub man i agree to have spark knock with todays fuels will require major compression changes like pistons, heads etc. Or a very incorrect blend of both.....????????

Got to show this off a bit. It is a customers unit to test and adjust only , as he rebuilt it . Got the Tubb Man large brass condensor , got to have the best look ever ????? AND they seem to work...

Use a longer screw , but be carefull as the screw can go all the way thru the cap. And i have a box full of good used bottoms etc if ya need one ????????

Always trust dwell, however remember that dwell is the average of rotation and may be a little twisted .

Ex: There are eight lobes on a V8 distributor cam, if one lobe was worn a little bit,...

After testing a few hundred crabs and helmets . It appears that the factory advance does in fact come in very early right off idle and all in at 2000-2500. The Ford bulliten books show a early...
