you said you had fuel, so that eliminates a fuel problem, next two things to check are coil and condenser, when engine dies again put your hand on the coil, if its to hot to leave it there you have...

most fuel pumps wont prime themselves, take an air hose and plug where you add gas with a rag, blow low pressure air in tank till the bowl on fuel pump is full, with some one cranking engine till it...

acrylic enamel with out a catalyst is like oil based enamel, it takes for ever to dry, in hot sun you might be able to start to do some work with it in 2 to 3 weeks, it depends on who made the paint,...

has Roseville/carl shut down Bill B,s 32 v/8 site? I tried a couple of times to get on, all I got is site is not available, a couple of days ago he said he was going to shut it down, I guess he did

Lawrie as you probly already know already know, original ford intake valves had a dish in the center of the valve, exhaust had flat top valves

all of those tanks with out the 31 bracket will leak because ever one pulls on the steering colum getting in, fix the problem right, braze or solder bracket to tank, and as rawhidekid said, fix it...

a 239 stock engine is 3 3/16" inch bore (3 /.187") using hasting steel vent rings I have gone way past the books engine tolerance specs, ran strong and no smoke, good for around 40,000 miles

52 and 53 b2and 3 heads have the higest compression, 7.2, the ret have 6.8, 52 53 merc heads run 7.2. , 1cm heads 6.8

motors manual says 35 to 40# for aluminum, I don't like copper gaskets with aluminum heads, worry about electrolisis, it my never happen but I play it safe
