KR Wilson 126

Does anyone know of a 126 for sale, or if someone in New England (Western Mass) has one that they would set my timing with? I have the car to where it will run, but I would like it to run better. ...

Re: 34 coolant leak

Well to bring you up to date, I did as suggested and went to the fire Dept and tested the radiator for Monoxide, and it went off the chart. Several cracks were found, along with pounds of rust and...

Re: 34 coolant leak

Thank you. I verified the overflow by attaching tubing onto the overflow, to a container, no major loss via the overflow. Yet I was down about 1 gallon of coolant.
We all agree that there is a...

Re: 34 coolant leak

So far 4 of us have inspected this engine, and agree that your answer is most likely the issue. I have not removed the valves.
A cloth placed over the exhaust, and it had very mild moisture. I...

Re: 34 coolant leak

I have pressure tested the cooling system. I have also attached tubing from the overflow to a container. When starting on a full radiator I have the usual blow by. Then no further fluid.
The bottle...

Re: 34 coolant leak

Thank you for the input. I have inspected the pumps very closely. I have run the engine with the hood open, and close inspection. No leak.
Loosing a gallon, I should see it.

Re: 34 coolant leak

Please change "Head" to "Heads" and "Head Gasket" to "Head Gaskets".
I have changed them twice. I cannot find any weakness or evidence of bypass on either gasket, or on the block or heads.

Re: 34 coolant leak

I have had the head off twice. All cylinders are equal mild carbon. All the plugs are equal. I have changed the head gasket twice. I took the plugs out, put dye in the coolant, pressurized the...

Re: 34 coolant leak

Thanks, I connected a hose from the over flow to a bottle, I'm not loosing it there. If I run any distance, I continue to loose. 20 miles is one gallon, and it just continues.

34 coolant leak

Greetings. I have a 34 V8 with the water pumps located at the front of the head.
I can lose half gallon in 10 miles. I have checked the overflow, and it is not overwhelming the radiator.
I have...

Re: Mouse-Proofing

I have had very good luck with dryer sheets. But you should take some cloth, and with a rubber band, cover your exhaust output. I have seen many mice like to move in there.

Re: Merger again considered, Credible opinions requested

I wonder why you demand to 'just bury this'?
Could it be that you don't like it?
Look at the amount of people who have viewed and commented on it. Whether you want to be involved, as you can...

Re: Merger again considered, Credible opinions requested

Well, it is an interesting ride, and unique to see some of the posts. Some are very defensive, others bring new input from both sides, that made me think.
As I have said, this same question has...

Re: Les Andrews book price

I don't think i could do that, but I cannot criticize you for thinking of it . And at least you are honest about it, and posted the options. Business is business, as they say.

Re: Merger again considered, Credible opinions requested

I am concerned that this is the major reason. I also feel this is a concern why they will not release an annual report.
To the people who say that they belong to both, a merger would reduce your...

Thank everyone for keeping this mostly civil. Just as an update, this is posted in several sites. Currently , from the posts , p.m.'s and emails, about 70% feel a merger or mutual affiliation would...

Re: Merger again considered, Credible opinions requested

No, I want an annual financial report, like most companies offer. The information inside the magazine is just basic info.

Re: Les Andrews book price

Mike, I agree, I always recommend both books. I have had my car since 1975, and I must have 50+ Model A books. Without a doubt these are the best on the market. I never travel without them.

Re: Tudor-What am I missing?

If, when you fold the passenger seat forward, when it hits the E brake, just fold it a bit more, and it should fold nicely down. If your Ebrake leaver is coming too far back, you should adjust the...
