Re: Copper coat gasket spray.

I prefer wheel bearing grease cuz I've used it for decades on many engines without a single issue either putting them on or taking them off including composition. 8^) Jack E/NJ

Re: drum puller

Some folks have claimed this $18 HarborFreight tierod puller can also get the job done by filing the claws a bit to snug in the groove. Jack E/NJ

Re: Plugging holes with "Metal To Metal?"

If it's only a cosmetic thing, I've cleaned the metal up and used caulking to hide the uglies. Jack E/NJ

Re: Double-Action Fuel/Vacuum Pump

A new combo pump seems to be available from autozone and summit for too much money. SP1265MP. About $190. Jack E/NJ

Re: O/T paint can smoker question

>>>12 volt car battery.>>>

4 ohms should do it --- or maybe over-do it. Use a small alligator clip to test at different points along the nichrome. Jack E/NJ

Re: O/T paint can smoker question

Well, if you're using a 6v, it's only about 6 watts---night light power
12v would be about 24 watts---should start smoking.
110v, 2000 watts. Really smoking & blowing fuses.

Re: Plugging the fuel pump pushrod without a bushing?

I wouldn't hammer anything. Just a easily-removed plug held in place with a spring maybe tied down with a wire around the galley oil tube. Jack E/NJ
