Re: Centre exhaust port baffle or fourth port?

Given the firing order, I don’t think it’s an issue. I also think trying to make a fourth port, by dividing the center into two, would end up being more restrictive. JMO

Re: Dipsticks-no, not my kids

I don’t think the dipstick will interfere with the crank. The way I marked mine(aftermarket chrome) was to put 5 qts oil in, then insert stick. Full mark then scribed at oil level.

Re: So I have a little problem...

I thought about drilling holes in mine even though it’s a good running engine for the extra holes I need for the intake. It seems the best way to do this would be to do it with the engine mounted on...

It worked, but there are no...

I use the crushed gas, used to use the black stuff, but as you said dusty, I couldn’t see what I was cleaning very well, and I have a vacuum.

Re: Mice eliminator

We have a good mouser, or should I say Voler, because we have lots of voles. I let her in the basement every so often to clean them out. Just like mice they like to chew holes in things.
Only...

Re: 32 Pa. LicenPlates now legal on my 32 now

We are able to do that here in Alaska, but try finding a 1935 Alaska plate!

Another nice thing they do here now is if a vehicle is 8 years old or older, you can get a permanent registration. No...

Re: Tuesday Tech: Which valve to adjust? Mart's easy method.

Good job Mart! I think that’s pretty simple.

Ol Ron,
In Marts setup with no crank, then you would turn the cam gear 1/2 turn if I am thinking correctly.

Re: Bead roller stand

Yes,
EMS pan would be a good start, but cost of pan and freight to Alaska is about what this motorized conversion cost.
Plus, yes, I get to do it myself!

And there are other parts of my floor...

Re: Bead roller stand

First attempt at making a floor replacement part. Worst part of my 35 coupe floor is the trunk. This is the ďflatĒ trunk floor. Which contrary to all replacement floors you can buy, is not flat. Iíve...

Re: Wide 5 Artillery Wheels

There is a thread on the H.A.M.B. about using wide five centers with a Honda wheel to get a wider rim.
If you want stock, they are everywhere, I’ll bet I have 20 of them lying around.

Re: Bead roller stand

Like to see that, I’ve heard a treadmill motor is a good start for a conversion. Will you be able to control speed?

Re: Spark Plug reach into head - Is this normal?

Looks ok to me.

You don’t want it deep enough for the valve to slap it.

Re: Bead roller stand

Yea, the handle makes it pretty much a two man operation. Good idea on the steering wheel!
I think I’ll use this a lot more with power!

Yes Iíve seen several of those videos. I already made the modification for the return spring for the upper roller. This is almost a necessity.
So my Eastwood power drive arrived today, really easy...

Re: Bring back auto mechanics class

I remember my dad telling me of his chemistry classes in high school, now a days you’d be thrown in jail for some of the experiments they did back then.

Re: Removing leaves of rear spring to lower 33/34 coupe

I removed a couple top springs, and made a spacer to compensate for the U bolts. But some dips in the road did allow rear radius arms to contact frame.
