Re: Model A Luggage Trunk?

It's 42"long, 18" tall and 12" front to back. I've looked for a long time with Google but only found one that was similar, nothing identical.

Model A Luggage Trunk?

Good morning all. I found this recently and was looking for a little info on the year and value of it. The tag on the right bottom side says it was made in San Francisco by W.R. Malm. Any info would...

Carburator ID

I recently bought a 29 sedan and need to rebuild the carb, but no name or tag on it. Can anyone tell me what carb I'm dealing with here?

Re: Did I find the oil leak?

OK. I cleaned up the area of the hole and got me a bolt that fit, then put a sealant on it and snugged it up. Put everything back together and took it for a ride. Not a drop of oil was found. Got...

Re: Did I find the oil leak?

I also resemble that remark :D I was really hoping that the bolt would be the culprit. The other options are quite a bit more work. Thanks you guys!!

Here you go Katy.

Did I find the oil leak?

Howdy all. We bought a 31 coupe a couple weeks ago and took it for it's first ride yesterday. After about 5 miles, I opened the hood to check things and found oil all over the place. Checked the...

Re: Oil on radiator??

That was our thinking, but having never owned one of these before, I decided to ask you guys. I'll take a good look at the rear zerk/grease also and see if it's contributing. Thanks you guys!!

Oil on radiator??

We just bought this 31 A coupe and noticed the oil at the lower end of the radiator. It doesn't appear that there's any oil leaks up front to cause this. Has anyone experienced this before?

Draining water from block

Will the engine of a 31 Model A completely drain using the petcock at the front drivers side of the engine?

Re: Our first one is done

And we most likely won't do it again. When I found the motor, what you see is what was on it. So, we figured we'd just roll with it and make it work, with several adjustments of course. Next time...

My appologies Walt. I posted a minute or two after you did and didn't see your post until Martin said something. Thank you for the clear explanation.

Re: Fuel pump rod and pump issue

I'm curious what you mean by, "The oil fill and road draft are isolated"? They are somewhat close to each other.

Ford Barn tee shirts

I just watched Walt's class on oiling of the flathead that was taped at his shop a couple years ago, which was great. Anyway, I noticed he had a FB tee shirt on. If they're still available, I'd love...

Re: Fuel pump rod and pump issue

After reading your post, it's definitely an 8ba manifold. The carb seat is tilted forward and it has both breather tube and oil fill hole at front left. As far as the crankcase breathing setup, this...

Re: Fuel pump rod and pump issue

I couldn't tell you which manifold it is. I'm new to this and learning more every day. The pump mount is aluminum and approximately 3 3/4 inches tall. The manifold is 2 1/2 inches tall from the...
