I used a power washer, with a bio-degradable degreaser I bought at walmart, two apps and engine and tranny were clean as a whistle.
Of course I did not have the interior in the car at the time so...

$550 per year for both and covered for everything, drive them every day.

Anyone know where I can get some Welch plugs?
In case you don't not know what these are, they are the little lead plugs installed at the factory to block off passages in the carb, they are a press...

If they haven't come off yet here's radical...
Disconnect all brakes save the one you are working on
Install outer bearing and spindle nut, leave it nice and loose
Put the brake adjuster back in...

Inner race sounds to be seized on the spindle, outer race rusted to drum...you're going to have to gets some penetrating oil in there for a day or two and use a puller or beat that sucker off, If you...

i was born and raised 30 miles South of Frisco (Redwood City), spent the summer of '68 and '69 hanging around Haight-Ashbury, that was before the rest of the Country knew in was hippie capital, moved...

Drove our '57 Chevy down Lombard St back in '76, understand now you have to pay.
Nice place back in the 50's, 60's and 70's, started going to hell in the '80's...and now they finally reached it....

I don't have a Vicky, but I lock mine in the garage.
On the road I don't lock it because 99.9% of people would not know how to start it let alone drive it.
And I always pack, so no car jacking with...
