Re: turn signals for a 40 deluxe

Re: Can any one tell me what year and were it gos front or back

Looks like a stone shield for a rear bumper, but it does not look like a Ford item to me.

Re: How to find mechanic

I still don't know if you are a V-8 Club member or not. If you are a member use the roster and there are many club members in the greater Cleveland area you can call to get some advice. I don't like...

Re: 36 Ford Tudor; steering parts vendor?

Re: How to find mechanic

Another good reason to join the Early Ford V-8 Club. The roster is worth it's weight in gold in contacting other V-8 owners in you area for advice.

Re: 40 hood release pin

The parts that actuate the hood release handle are held together with pins and the pins are retained with cotter keys. The only part that uses a threaded pan head screw is the lower part of the hood...

Re: Stainless steel Fords going to auction

Dave, you are correct. Much easier to do the original finish on the stainless. Stainless was never meant to look like chrome.

Re: 37 Gas Tank Mounting

Tank sits on top of the frame rail. One side uses two bolts and the other side uses one bolt with the spring, washer, castle nut and then the cotter key.

Re: EV8 parts vendors

The good part of dealing with our small vendors who are also hobbyists is good service. If you have a problem or question you can talk directly with the seller. With the big companies you don't get...

Re: 1940 pickup carpeting?

Reach under the dash and push the switch towards the front of the dash to remove the retaining ring. It should drop out from the back.
