Thanks for the heads up Kevin. I mainly wanted to get away from headlights dimming when braking or backing off, seems like lED are just as bad.
I also have a 3rd brush gen and a fun projects reg....

Interesting topic. Way back in my speedway days I blew a couple of engines (not fords) and was told to reduce the oil level. I did and no more blown motors. Apparently the crank created a void around...

Yes Lawrie Lyn & I done a trip out that way Junda was like a green belt. It was just after a lot of rain and it was green all the way down to Lightning Ridge. Lots of goats though.

Your not wrong Graham, one time a log rolled down the skids and jumped up a foot and landed on the saw bench. My Dad made up a frame to stop it happening again.

33 Cowl Vent

Back to the vent again. Rubber was too thin so stuck some universal thin foam strip first then the rubber. Weighted down with a bit of rail line. The flap now lines up with the cowl. Maybe leave it...

I finally got the flap off but may need your help in fitting it back.
I got the rubber from 3rd Gen with a ridge. Is this where you got yours ?.

Kevin I had to unbolt the vent flap as previous builder used a heap of silicone to glue it down. There also seems to be different opinions on which way the ridge faces up or down ?.
