In 1964 I put a Sears rebuilt engine in my '30 fordor. A short time later I had to redo the valves as they had not set them right. It came out of the Los Angeles store.

Some years ago Jack Simmons in our San Diego club switched out the innards of a slant coil with a new coil, messy but it worked & you couldn't"t tellfrm the outside.

I've had good luck welding all the cracks on the hub and then tacked the back edge of the pully too. I check them form time to time & all is well.
