Post Re: Need Help - Transmission Oil migration?

What you have is a bad front pump seal allowing the convertor to drain into the main case after engine shutdown.

The pan is designed to hold only so much at rest and the additional fluid volume...

Post Re: 1961 Fords - Where have they all gone?

Just a thought.

1958 CANADIAN FORD FE choices were the 332 and 361. No 352.

Shown below is the correct linkage for a 55/56 FYB S/T -

In the olden days, most shock manufacturers had a text giving the dimensions you need. MONROE was big back then.

Post Re: Holley 4150 carburetor development history

Sorry about the large type. My browser and this site clashes at times -

HOLLEY introduced the H4150 in 1957.

HOLLEY designed the FORD 4100/2100 expressly for FOMOCO and was also released in...

Thumbs up Re: rear wheel well covers

Hey, no problem.

If your 55 is a 2DR RANCH, the 56 PARKLANE WAGON came through with a deluxe interior but a trim shop would be a better choice IMO.

Post Re: rear wheel well covers

I would think you would have to take yours to a trim shop and have them done.

Question Re: Frame rot 1956

What seems to cause the rot on the front cross-member, lack of proper drainage and/or an opening allowing trash to build-up?

Post Re: 1959 Edsel

The 59 EDSEL was simply a re-skinned 59 FORD. Most mechanicals will be the same. The trouble is, EDSEL DIV had its own separate PARTS CATALOGING. You would need that to find what is interchangeable...

Post Re: Replacing Teapot carb on 1956 T-bird

Changed your mind again ... ;)

Thumbs up Re: Iím getting close to trying to start my 1956 bird after a lonnnnng ordeall

Everything you are doing is fine. I understand not wanting to remove the intake. You can buy a brass cap to close that threaded inlet at HOME DEPOT plumbing aisle. HOLLEY used to offer one along with...

Post Re: Replacement radiator fan for 292

If you see a fan blade wiggle while the engine is running and the WP is OK, you either have a bent fan and/or fan hub or the fan is not mounted correctly.
