It appears the pipe was installed to add to the flow of water to #4 water jacket,probably does not do very much never saw this done and wouldn't drill and tap a hole in the side of any A block.

possibly there is locktite on the screw,concentrated heat might loosen it as long as nothing else get will get ruined.

My June 1929 ccpu came with a 7 tooth box I'm presently running a 2 tooth box switching back to the original box machined for needle bearings,trying to keep as original as possible.

I would do a compression check first you might have burned valves and then a leak down test.

AS mentioned with the Covid they won't let you ride in the truck with the driver I have the plus which tows up to 200 miles,might be a problem finding a way to get home.

Possibly you can locate another rebuildable carb instead of investing in all those Metric taps,unless you already have them.

I had the same problem I had to constantly pull out the choke to keep the Motor running till it warmed up I found the tappet clearance to great from worn lifters.I ground the valves and replaced the...

I have tried the viton tipped needle and seat with no success,took it apart and checked for debris shimmed it up and down carb still leaked.I installed original type needle and seat no leaks.
