Re: Head bolts

If all else fails they have companies that specialize in removing broken studs, at least they do in southern California. Ask at your machine shop. Not cheap.

Re: Need A LOT of help with Model A inheritance

Best of luck with your project. The only reason an amateur should start with a car like yours is if there is a family history with the car and it sounds like there is one. My first car was a 1930...

Re: Engine numbers donít match

I wonder what makes them think it is a '31? It has a '30 dash and a '30 radiator shell. Maybe that was the only title they could find when they bought one on EBAY?

Re: Engine numbers donít match

Sounds like someone bought a title and a new VIN plate and stamped the numbers to match the title. The VIN plate should look like it came from the state. In California the state assigns the numbers...

Re: VIN and Engine Serial Number Location

If I was buying a vehicle with a clear title I would check that the number on the title matches the number on the vehicle. If it didn't match, or couldn't be found I wouldn't buy the vehicle and...

Re: A head on a B block

If I remember correctly you need to plug two water holes in the block. Drill them, tap them and put an allen screw in with sealer. They are too close to the edge of the gasket.

Due to the shape...

Re: Brake pedal bracket

Assuming you are running a stick be sure the clutch lever lines up where you need it to be. That is why people use the '39 pedals for many of the conversions.

Re: Replace differential seals and gaskets

Add your general location to your profile, there may be someone close with a spring spreader they could loan you. Sometimes clubs have tools they loan like spring spreaders.

Re: 1929 CCPU Learning as I go

They make some excellent stainless steel hubcaps for those wheels, try Bob Drake. The fit 1932 through 1935 and are slightly different for the different years (I like the 1932 hubcaps, shown). They...

Re: 1931 model AA truck

Sounds like you are looking at all of the right things. Does the fuel run down from the tank and then through the pump?

Titan, How do you identify a Model B engine? Any chance that the truck is actually a .32? How about some pictures?

Re: Wanted: To buy a pair of matching wisconsin license plates

When you put the ad in the "Wanted" section be sure to note that the plates must be clear to register the vehicle, if that is what you intend to do. Plates that are not clear are a lot cheaper but...

Re: 31 roadster pick-up's

I have an early (small bed) 1931 roadster pickup. The only source I have seen is the July-August 1973 issue of "Ford Life". They show 2637 domestic and 1508 foreign open cab bodies that were used...
