Re: Speaking of engines

Battle ground is only about 80 miles from me. I'd be willing to go pick it up for you at his asking price. LOL

Re: Speaking of engines

I found this on Portland Oregon CL. Is this a V860? Also found another posting. Seriously?

Re: Speaking of engines

Thanks all for the excellent information and sources. Until I can pull the pan and inspect the bottom end we can conclude it's a '35/'36, unknown whether it's an LB or not. Another question is would...

Re: Need H10 coke bottle plugs. Got ANY

Lawson,
Guess I'll have to look some more. If I find any I'd sell them for half that price. LOL. Praying for good weather!

Re: The 1934 Brewster - Built On A Ford Chassis - Marketed By Rolls Royce

Fascinating history. I was unaware of a Brewster. Regarding the grill I wonder if the designer(s) intentions were met. Much like the Edsel grille of the '50's other connotations have been imagined,...

Re: Speaking of engines

If you're referring to the clip I found in post #35 first pic I was looking to identify it. Is that what it is? BTW I'm pretty sure the last guy to work on it was my late Father and he most likely...

Re: Speaking of engines

A few more. As a conversion piece I found the water pump rebuild kit and added it for fun.

Re: Speaking of engines

I took a closer look and some more pics. It is 3 1/16" bore with a flat intake deck. There is a vent tube in the front passenger side shown. The oil pan is on it. I found the bent up clip looking...

Re: Need H10 coke bottle plugs. Got ANY

Lawson,
Well I took a quick look in the garage today and this is what I found, not what you're looking for. There are other places to look but it will have to wait for better weather as there's so...

Re: Need H10 coke bottle plugs. Got ANY

If I don't see any on the shelves there is a couple other places to look in the storage cabinets but I'd have to get the 3W outside to get to them. Depends on if it's raining or not tomorrow. Any...

Re: Speaking of engines

Thanks Mike! Now I see it. I'd heard there was a quick way to tell but never had it explained like that. Not knowing much I always had to count the studs and usually got confused and had to start...

Re: Need H10 coke bottle plugs. Got ANY

Thanks Pete! Perfect. I'll go dig around through the stuff and see if I have any. I seem to remember seeing some plugs at one point unless I'm imagining things. In all that stuff it wouldn't surprise...

Re: Need H10 coke bottle plugs. Got ANY

Can someone post a pic of what these look like? I did an internet search but I'm not satisfied with the results. I found some discussion about them but no satisfactory pictures. I'm going to dig...

Re: What's the shortest length generator?

You got me Lawson. I get the LMAO part but clueless to the ROF. Please clue me in. Still trying to add to the list of these sort of things. So far GB Sisson wins with WML. Still chuckling on that one.

Re: Speaking of engines

One more question. What is an LB? I've seen it referenced but I don't know what it is.

Re: Speaking of engines

Thanks all for your input. I got called to an actual paying job so I didn't get a chance to further inspect the engine today. Being retired having a paying job for a few days is a real treat. I'll...

Speaking of engines

I have this engine that I'd like some advice on. It has been in the garage for decades and I'd like to map out a plan for it. I'd like opinions on the approximate year. From what I can gather off Van...

Re: 32 a400

I don't know which is why I ask for a higher authority with knowledge. It offends me when a claim is made such as "The rarest of all 1932 body styles" as if expected that a potential sale may be made...

Re: Any demand for 3 3/4 8BA cranks

So true. I understand that everything has a usable life until it is worn beyond repair, but if perfectly good flat head parts keeping getting scrapped because they have no monetary value or demand at...
