Re: Luck Selling on this Site?

I've had great luck with my "Grab Boxes". I'll take 10 or 12 items and put them in a plastic crate and put a single price including freight. I'm not in the Model A used parts business, but I'm in...

I have these remote battery posts that make it easy to jumpstart or attach a battery tender.

Re: Tow Insurance

I have a tilt bed aluminum trailer with a 10,000# winch and I can’t tell you how many times I’ve helped pickup a dead car and take it somewhere. Don’t ask to borrow it though! I quit loaning my...

Re: Ford and racing

I was at the first Goodguys Del Mar show and got a lot of questions about the A engine in my Zipper roadster and pointed to the lettering on the back. I said that Ford was still making A crate...

Re: drilling on powder coated surface

I finished this A powered hot rod in 1999. The frame, backing plates, axles, brake drums, running gear, wire wheels and suspension components were powder painted gloss black or red. Sold it last...

Re: Wheel Weights

I spin balance the drums and wheels separately and then as a unit. Studs are marked so that the wheels are always installed correctly. Used good old clip on rim weights.

Re: Gauges, Meaningful Ones

Volt meter and vacuum gauge. However, an oil pressure gauge can be fun when you point out it dropped to 5 PSI to a passenger!

Re: Club Tag Topper

Had these made as a Telluride Rotary Club fund raiser. They’re reproductions of toppers that the Idarado mine employees had in the 1950’s. Found the source in a Hemmings ad.

Re: Ethanol 101

I’ve had non ethanol delivered to the house for years. Use it in small engines, outboards and old cars. Also put it in my wife’s 2020 Pacifica. The Pacifica had to be towed to the dealer a couple...

I take that as a compliment and that certainly is the first step in getting a sense of humor.

Re: Cheeky parking

As I said, Porsche owners don’t have a sense of humor! FYI, my wife sold her wide body Carrera AWD 6 speed last year. She has a sense of humor

Note unusual at all for T's and A's to show up at cars & coffee here in Durango. See my photo in the cheeky parking thread.

Re: Cheeky parking

Here’s cheeky parking! Local cars & coffee is put on by the Porsche club. My Model A powered roadster screws up their lineup! Porsche owners have no sense of humor…asked me to move and I refused.

Re: Powder Coating Guns?

See post #10. Over the years, the hair pins on an open wheel car will get chips. The company gave me an areosol can of Cardinal Red that I used for touch up. Actually, the PC is pretty tough and I...

Re: Powder Coating Guns?

Built this A-powered roadster in 1999. Local guy was opening a powder coating business and I was at the head of the line. Turns out that my car was used as a teaching tool by DuPont techs. Frame,...

Re: 5 Speed Conversion

Been 15 years and a few panic stops as well as tours in three states and no issues. Too, the engine put out 70 HP at the rear wheels. Note that the metal straps are welded on both sides of the...

Re: Backup Camera for Model A with 6V Positive Ground

Friend of mine installed a backup camera on a 1926 Packard limo and used a hidden 12v lawn mower battery with a switch under the dash to turn it on.
