I "put the screws to it"---Screwed a re-po '46 Ford gas pedal to the wood floor & it rested on top of that useless button & now I can gas it, even in the DARK!---AND, I cobbled up a push button...

WHAT FOOTREST???????? Those things are a pain in the neck & always in the way!!!!
