Re: Anyone use a TomTom gps?

I use a Garmin as well, but I don't use the female Cigarette Lighter Socket. My Garmin comes with USB cord that was intended to download software updates but can be used to also charge. Just plug it...

Re: Radiator fill question

Tiger,

Is there any reason for the circular bends in the copper tube? Looks a lot like a tube for distilling water or whiskey.

Re: Free root beer floats

The last A&W in our area is in Mentone Northeast of Redlands. We've stopped there from time to time to get the grandkids a root beer float. The place deteriorated but they just remodeled.

My...

Re: Service Truck

That truck looks a lot like one that was for sale in Glendora about a year ago here in Southern California. I didn’t go look at it because I prefer a regular pickup bed.

Re: 31 Standard Roadster Windshield Frame

Mike,

What distance from the edges are the holes for the pulls? I bought a frame that didn’t have the holes drilled.

Re: The Terry Burtz 5 main bearing engine blocks are back on track.

Terry,

Thanks for the detailed answers to the questions that have been posed. The clear and concise answers give a non-technical person like me a lot of confidence in your project and the product...

Re: The Terry Burtz 5 main bearing engine blocks are back on track.

Dave,

I think that is one of the main reasons why a lot of people hesitate to buy a new block. It's not necessarily the cost but buyers want to know what they are getting for the price, e.g., will...

Re: The Terry Burtz 5 main bearing engine blocks are back on track.

Hey Chris,

Will it be ready for the San Fernando Valley Model A Swap Meet? It would be nice to see it and hear it run.

At least you should make a YouTube video like Charlie Yapp did for the...

Re: Canvas top too loose

I believe upholstery shops steam material before installation to make it more pliable. I don't think steaming will shrink it, its more likely to expand it. You should check with an upholstery shop to...

Re: 1930 Ford model A 2 door sedan Hot Rod

The seller is near Burbank, CA and he's asking $25K. It's listed in the L.A. Craig's List.

Why didn't you Swap out the battery while you were there and avoided the core charge?

Re: 10 years a roadster!

Hey Jack,

A flathead V-8 in a Model A, sounds like you were a "hot Rodder" in your day. When did you get "religion" and start working on 4 bangers?

Jeff,

You're right about the movies. The only two I can think of are comedians, Oliver Hardy and Fatty Arbuckle!

Re: tell a Model A related story

Jim,

Speaking of having to recharge the A/C every summer, my 2004 Toyota Highlander has the same problem; otherwise, it's been a great car and just now going over 300K miles.

The first time I...

Since you only need it at night, could it be wired into the headlight circuit so it would only go on when you turn on the headlights?

In this case, it seems to me that it is the dealer's responsibility to straighten out the title.

That is one of the reasons I wanted to buy a car with a clear California title and a current...
