What sheet metal do you have? The trucks used 1928-29 sheet metal
until mid 1930.

Looking at the wiring diagram the instruments get their power from
the ignition switch, black wire with green tracer.

Isn't that the way it should work because of the roller clutch in the OD?

Intermediate Moulding Radiator Grille Cross Bar 7C-8334,
bottom 7C-8345.
