37-39 if you want to use the light rod .you can adpt. the 36 column it,s ez .the hole in the 40 shaft is to small for the light rod. no mod needed to steering linkage use the 36 pitman arm

get a thin wall steel tube that just fits over he stud 7/16 now file teeth on one end. on the other end get a nut with a hole big enought to slide over the tube .weld the nut now place the tube over...

if you want to fix it remove eng you can leave the trans. in the car. remove clutch assembly & send to fort wayne clutch. now inspect the flywheel if it has cracks take it to a mechine shop & have it...

when you run a rebuilt eng you must seat the rings. with the car in third speed slow down to about 10 mph now put the pedal to the floor to 25 mph. do this three or four times .if you used crome...
