Re: Drive shaft lock pin

Just a follow up: I cut the C&G pins to length and the peened over readily.

Re: Drive shaft lock pin

The pinion is new — just put in 3.54s — and the coupler’s NOS so there’s no play at all. I think I’ll grind this one off and drive it back out, and use the softer C&G. Then shrink wrap it. I like...

Re: Drive shaft lock pin

So...how many days' pounding does it take to peen over an original pin? I got a couple of OEM pins from Fred Willner (Southside Obsolete) and a couple of aftermarket ones from C&G. I decided to go...

Re: Looking for 1939 Ford Deluxe cardboard door panels

I've always used luan. Just make sure the grain is going the right direction for any curve in your panel.

Re: C & G Ford Parts Outstanding Service

I love C&G. Lots of knowledge, huge inventory, awesome customer service. I had a call from them, out of the blue, back during the holidays. They just called to wish me a Merry Christmas.

Re: 28, 29 vs 30,31 What do you like any why?

That beautiful curved line on the cowl sides of the 28-29 does it for me. I've had a couple including an RPU -- and indeed, it was tiny. I'd consider a 30-31 roadster next, because you can get down...

WTB: Wide-Five wheel centers in 15 inch rims

Looking for a set someone has fabricated, passed them up at swap meets but now I have a need. I understand Marmon-Herrington's came with 15 inch wide-fives, but don't expect to ever find a set...

Re: Not Ford, But Definitely Timely

Ditto here. We crank it up to HIGH about ten minutes before climbing into bed, then turn it to low when we get in. Love it.

Yep, the ivory knobs. Thanks. I'll do the levering off. I really want to save the originals.

Supplier for '35 Floorboard Siffener Cleats?

My '35 5W is an early car and didn't have these floor pan stiffeners -- but I'd like to install them. Is there a vendor that still offers them? I could fab up my own, but thought I'd check first....

Re: Stewart Warner Parts Source?

Thanks, but I'm I'm looking for u-brackets, not a gauge panel.

Lots of Autometer brackets available, which I can modify. I'd like to find an S-W insulated ammeter bracket though.
