Re: miss(tery) solved

Had a similar experience with a Mallory crab on my '39. Front bushing/bearing worn out and shaft moved all over the place....not good!!

Re: 15 Millionth Model T

Jim, thank you for posting this. It's a great summary of the "T's" history. I have a '27 T hot rod coupe...not chopped....and picked up on the fact that T production stopped on 5/26/1927.....I...

Re: Removing Engine from '40 Ford Question

My preference on my '39 is to remove grill and radiator only and take everything out the front...and keep everything as low as possible, relative to shop crane.....swaying engine over fenders makes...

Re: Fenton's or Red's or ??

Heard, I've had both Fenton's and Red's....the Fenton's were on a '39 and I did have to do some grinding and modify the dipstick. Also, the rest of the system had to be custom made by a muffler shop....

Re: Wa State, Nice & Legal

Tom, you can't put a price on "must haves"!! Looks like the collector plate restoration and WA's cost to register with it, is about 42% of the total. The big item ($303) you would have had anyway...

Re: The Radiator Blues - Let's Pray

Guess it boils down to your budget and how "original" you want it to be. Lots of aftermarket alternatives that work well.

Since you have it out, might be worth a trip to the "old guy" for an...

Re: The Radiator Blues - Let's Pray

See where the fan penetrated the core, but otherwise think a good shop shouldn't have too much of a problem bringing it back. My '39 was in worse shape than yours, and it came back looking like new....

Wink Re: Chevy guys

Steven, this isn't about Chevy's vs. anything else. This is about the fact that your neighbor would be the same way if you asked him to help you plant a tree in your back yard and guessing he'd have...

Re: Oil in coolant

In your post on 4/06, you mentioned getting your radiator fixed and that you were looking for sources to help you in your part of NC. What kind of issues are you having with your radiator that you...

Re: Quarantine work

Stripped and painted my Red's Headers with Eastwood High Temp silver. Should have done it before I put them on the first time, as Victor at Red's suggested....didn't want to spring $$ for the...

Re: My 1939 pickup named “Uncle Raeman”

Well done, Colonel Clement!! Veterans like you are a gift to our country. I grew up on a NJ farm very near McGuire AFB, and was an AF mechanic (E5) during Vietnam. Your service was a heck of a lot...

Ralph, Tom, (TJ) above is spot on. Assuming you are either new to the Raleigh area, new to old Fords, or both. Joining the Early Ford V8 Club is absolutely the best "part" you need right now for...

Re: starting problem after sitting 1947

I'm with richardcrow in post #4 above. Replace your in-line filter with an electric pump. They usually come with a filter attached to the inlet side of the pump. My stock pump pulls through the...
