As a follow up to my earlier post. I received the new top irons and they are new reproductions for a 30/31 RPU. To make them fit my '28 I only need to replace the back wood bow with one for a 28/29...

Somewhere I read that the 30/31 tops were removable. I wonder if this meant they had snaps at the rear bottom to disconnect them?

'28 RPU top measurement

Can Anyone tell me the deminsion from tackstrip to tackstrip on the rear of the top. (top to bottom) and also the measurement from the windshield post back to the center bow?

I'm sure this has been covered but I couldn't find it. Does anyone know where I can get my EA Labs horn rewired for 12 volts? I bought the resister from Snyders but it doesnt work. 12 volts spins it...

It turned out to be the gas guage gasket. It was almost new 9the rubber type) and the eythenol in the gas destroyed it.

I have the same issue but I only smell it going down the road. If the tank is leaking wouldnt you smell it all the time?
