Your engine also appears to have a factory relief, as does mine, which has the 59 casting number on the bell housing.

TJ is right. 49-53 F1 pickups had an optional wheel that was 16x5. Mercury had a 16x5 also. 1941 I think. Beware of those who say they can install your
centers in an outer rim that will fit. ...

Advice needed on flanged full floating bearings

From what I can tell these bearings were offered in these different types:
Nickel cadmium, Tin base babbitt, Lead base babbitt, and copper lead base.
Is there a preference as to which type to use...
