Re: Gas mileage question

The 30 Fordor I drive gets about 14-16 on good days, 10 on bad. I've tried turning the GAV way down, it doesn't help much on this one. If it was mine I'd have the carb gone thru. The owner is...

Re: gas tank problems

I bought an old farmall tractor with enough crud in the tank to build a battleship. I took the tank off, pressure washed the crap out of it, then installed a tank screen filter. It only keeps the...

Re: 1929 double a won't start, help

Im far from being an expert, but did someone say your coil is a 12V? I have a 6V tractor and I replaced the coil with a 12V coil. She would be hard to start then ran rough until she died. Then...

Re: Darned reproduction parts!

I read, (on here, a book or somewhere that WASNT Facebook) you can open the GAV up to a full turn to start the motor, then lean it out to 1/4 turn. I have done this lately, and she starts easier...

Re: How to remove ethanol from gasoline.

Ethanol is grain alcohol, aka everclear. Around here pouring it on the ground is called alcohol abuse. LOL.

Re: Another Reason to Love the A

I know i enjoy driving the A because it reminds me of a simpler time, when a man said what he meant and meant what he said. When a handshake sealed a deal, your word was your bond.
Today people...

Re: How to remove ethanol from gasoline.

That's a very simple solution to removing the ethanol. Non-ethanol gas is nearly a dollar a gallon more expensive. That's about $10 a tank on a model A

Re: tell a Model A related story
