Re: Warning - Sophisticated Scammer Trolling the Want Adds

The cell phone thing amuses me. I have never owned a cell phone until this Christmas when my kids told me I had to join the 21st Century and got me one for Christmas. It's only going to cost me...

Re: members that have collected other car besides ford

My favorite old non-Ford that I have owned in the past few decades was a 1928 Franklin. Aluminum body, air cooled engine, three headlights, wooden frame like a Morgan. I had it for a couple of years.

Re: Options for mounting a spare tire on my '41PU

The parts books sometimes let you down. The black and white parts picture posted above is actually for a 36/7 pickup. The 38/9 uses a different 1404 rod with two "eyes" in the middle, not one. The...

Re: Differences in 35 and 36 Ford Pick-up

The front fenders are not all the same. Some of the fenders have enclosed holes where the front bumper brackets pass through and some (most) have what amounts to a slot for the front bumper braces. I...

Re: Horn rod removal

If I understand your question, if you remove the bail and the light switch/clip at the bottom of the horn rod down by the steering box the horn rod should pull out enough at the top to remove the...

Re: 1937 Glove Box Door ?

The only things I can add to what Gary posted is that the 35-37 Ford pickups, trucks, and panel deliveries all used an interchangeable glovebox door which may help to know if you are seeking one....

Re: tesla Truck

Had my F-250 for 17 years. No floor mats, no power locks or windows, vinyl seat. Replaced the battery a couple of times and the fuel pump after 16 years. I did add cruise control to it. The truck I...

Re: 1937-40 Engine Splash Pans

I missed the date on the post. Wonder who posted it on the current thread. In any case, I miss his posts. He has a wealth of knowledge when it comes to Ford parts. I have bought parts from him and he...

Re: '37 Pickup radiator replacement

Dennis Carpenter had and may still have a 37 truck radiator. Give Bob a call and see if he still has it.

Re: 36 Ford PU cowl vent screen installation

I have not bought any of the re-pop cowl vent screens so I cannot tell you for sure what the problem is, but a lot of the re-pop parts claim they fit 35-37 pickups because of the similarities between...

Re: 36 vs 37 ford pickup cabs

In addition to the comments of others, the 37 has a different dash rail due to a different windshield opening mechanism, different windshield post inside garnish moldings, and the header panels are...

Re: BIG truck guy's, were these legit period Accessories??

I looked at the truck on the auction site. It is listed as a 35 Ford Model 50. It has what appears to be a 36 deluxe chrome grill, 36 chromed windshield frame, and 36 hood sides. The seller states...

Re: 1936 Ford pick up grill panel

I have no way of posting pictures. I do not believe the 36 pickup and truck inner grill panels are exactly the same, but I suspect they would interchange. The 37 pickup inner grill panel looks very...

On one of my vehicles I used the same hardware that tubman recommends. There was no body mounted on the frame when I did it, so I didn't fill the holes until after installation and then painted the...
