Re: Uploading Files

I'm not sure what the file size limit is, but those sound too large. Try resizing them on your PC (Paint is one program that will do it; there are other ways.) to, say, 25% of their original size....

Re: I need help

Hermitage, PA looks to be about 30 miles west of the intersection of I-80 and I-79 and roughly the same distance east of Youngstown, Ohio. Hopefully there are some Forum members near him who could...

Re: Headlight Puzzle

I have measured the reflectors as suggested. There's about 1/16" difference with the shorter measurement on the top side, suggesting that these Bratton reflectors are as advertised.

I also...

Re: Headlight Puzzle

Thanks, everyone, for all your replies/suggestions. I believe that we're on the same page as to how the headlight is supposed to be assembled! I will double-check the sleeve-to-rim measurements to...

Headlight Puzzle

I have run into a puzzle with the headlights in one of our A's.

I'm using the new Bratton's reflectors and 50/32 bulbs. The reflectors are installed with the "Top" marking at the top. The slot in...

Re: A tragic loss to the Model A hobby, Alex Janke

This is very sad news. Condolences to his family and many friends. Our hobby is much the poorer for his loss.

Re: Rebore vs Sleeves

I'm not sure how sleeves seal in the Model A block which wasn't designed for sleeves. My experience (one engine) is that coolant leaked around the sleeves into the combustion area.

I appreciate the grounding and commutator clean-up suggestions, guys. I have been reluctant to remove the commutator but have concluded that I ought to do so. Any tips? And one question: how exactly...

Re: Electric Wiper Questions

Thanks, guys. Vaseline I have in stock!! BTW, I've corrected my original post as I think it should have referred to the"commutator" rather than the "armature".

I've been doing a little research...

Re: Getting car ready for Marc touring class

Do what Brent suggested - as someone who has participated in the MARC Touring Class judging, you can learn a lot about how your car will fare. I'd add that some folks have modified their cars - you...

Re: 29 Roadster ignition woes

A white spark from the coil lead to the block isn't what you should have; the goal is a blue spark that will jump about a quarter inch....reread Tom's post #3! Though I'm not a fan of switching parts...

Re: 29 Roadster ignition woes

Jeremy, assuming that your test gear is accurate, 0.3 volts suggests that something isn't right. The challenge is figuring out what that might be without laying eyes on the car! Are you near any...
