Re: Edsel Ford
I've never liked Henry Ford as a person, but the contrast between Henry and Edsel was stark. All you need to do to see the difference between the two is to visit Henry's home and then visit Edsel...

Re: Fifteen Millionth Model T Ford
The Model T was available is colors up until 1914, when they switched to all black. This was because black dried faster and Ford started with mass production.
Colors were again available in 1926...

Re: Slow turn over
I totally agree with Paul, re: proper grounding. Clean the frame where the ground strap is attached to make sure nothing, including paint is inhibiting proper ground. Of course, proper 6 volt...

Re: Model A I think I need another
AOL, If you're only 68+, you are still a "kid." I'm 82 and just gave my antique cars to my 2 sons. It was just getting more difficult to work on the cars. I'm happy that my cars are still in...

Re: Who designed he Model T engine
The Model N was a 4 cylinder which preceded the Model R, S and then the T. If you examine the N, R and S engines, you'll see a good resemblance to the T engine.

Re: NOS parts I will never use but keep .
John,
You're not alone. Holding on to parts that we will never use is a common malady. As for me, I'm always afraid that, if I sell one of those parts, I will have a need for it shortly...

Re: Happy 1st day of Spring
Some first day of spring. We're expecting a snow storm tonight and tomorrow. I guess my Model A will have to wait until the snow melts and the rock salt on the road has washed away.

Re: Some A's in the snow....
Is this the same group that drives their Ford snowmobiles upstate New York? I know a couple of guys here on Long Island who bring their Model T Fords upstate in the winter to have some fun.

Re: Old Car Collectors Aren't Dead Yet!
I'm 80 and have been in the antique car hobby most of my life. I owned a '24 Model T Ford for over 50 years. I sold it a few years ago and bought a '30 Model A Ford. I've also owned a '59...

Re: Electrical mystery
John,
Glad you got your electrical problem solved. Not an easy task for anyone, especially me.
By the way, I live in Suffolk County, but on Long Island, NY.

Re: Whitewall Tires
Have you tried Universal Tire? I don't know about Lester and Lincoln, but Universal does sell both 30x3 and 30x3 1/2 white tires. Good luck in your search.

steel repop fenders for Model A coupe
I've seen steel repop fenders for sale for Model A Fords, but I understand that they are very difficult to fit. Does anyone make new steel repop fenders that actually fit. My car is a '30 coupe....
