Plugging holes with "Metal To Metal?"

I'm working on my A project and I picked up a can of Metal To Metal to fill in some of the rust pebbling on the A frame. My attention was drawn to what I assume to be the front fender brace holes....

Re: What Is This Bolt For?

It's used for mounting the clam shell pieces to the rear transmission mount on a '32, possibly others. If it isn't 7/16 fine threads, then it's something else.

Re: Old Henry

Just loved the technical things I learned from his posts! And, yes, the trip logs were amazing! Serving a mission is a very common thing to do in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints when...

Re: Hood latch mounting

Oops! No hood shelf. Car won't have fenders. I have a cowl I'll have to dig out and place on the frame. I do have a hood and I'll have to dig that out too. I was hoping to avoid all the digging out....

Re: U-Joint Terminology

If the bell joint at the front of the torque tube was a COMPLETE hemisphere, then yes, the pivot plane would be at the face of the bearing retainer. But, the center of the radius is a bit further...

Re: Painting nuts and bolts...

When I was working on my 4 window coupe, I had them do some parts with a black zinc. It seems that it's something they don't usually do and it took a long while for them to get around to it. They...

Painting nuts and bolts...

Is there a paint (preferably aerosol) that works well for making modern zinc plated fasteners look like the correct raven finished nuts and bolts? I'm building a "non-points" kind of car but I can't...

What kind of phone do you have? I have an iPhone and after I take pictures, they appear in the Photos app on my MAC. I simply drag them from the Photos app into a folder on my desktop and from there,...

Does anyone have a good color picture of a Model A in "authentic" Rose Beige that they'd be willing to post here? Thanks! If it's actually a good match for the MAFCA color chip, I'll have to look...

Re: How To Make and Aluminum Engine Block

I'm not sure but casting aluminum MIGHT be a simpler process than casting iron. If anybody is following Terry Bertz and his five main bearing cast iron Model A block, you'll know the heartaches and...

Painting polished stainless steel

I've been painting a bunch of parts using urethane stuff including an etching primer. I doubt that an etching primer would etch stainless or anything chrome plated. Any suggestions? Thanks!
