Re: Max Speed of a Model A with 26% OD and HC Head

Remember what kind of brakes these cars have. Especially if you’re not using cast drums.

Re: Back Window Fit in '29 Briggs Fordor

Wow. This is exactly the repair I came up with thinking of how I could fix without removing any top. One piece going between the bow and window and the other between the inside window frame and bowed...

Re: Back Window Fit in '29 Briggs Fordor

So what about the inside window frame? Is it correct for the car? And those corner pieces have to be for a different frame.
PS. Sorry but I’m building a driver not a show queen so I’m going to make...

Re: Back Window Fit in '29 Briggs Fordor

I’m thinking maybe I glue the seal to the glass with weather stripping adhesive and then fill the gap with good black silicone. That way water shouldn’t be able to migrate up past the seal where...

Re: '30 Fordor Drip Rails

If they’re the same idea as the new ones there is a picture in the other post that I posted. Hope it helps.

Re: Drip Rail Won't Snap On

Here's a couple pictures with Drip Rails on. I wish the heads of the spiral trim nails they gave me were a bit thinner as up close you can see a couple dimples in the outer rail. Or maybe I'm just...

Re: Drip Rail Won't Snap On

Re: Drip Rail Won't Snap On

I was hoping not to pound on nice paint. I’ll have to tape them first. Do they have to snap on all at once or could I start on one end and work my way to the other?

Drip Rail Won't Snap On

I'm in the middle of installing the Drip Rails on my '29 Briggs Fordor Leatherback. The inner portions are nailed onto the car. The outers are cut to length, custom bent to the contour of the car,...

Re: Engine problem

Did you rotate the engine with the pan off? Does it lock up on a TDC or not? If so pull the head and inspect.

I'm looking for the mounting brackets that attach the windshield swing arms. This is for a '29 Briggs Fordor 60B so the brackets are different from all the rest. Thanks. John

Re: Headlight Bar fit

Is adding washers between the fender and bracket common practice? I replaced my RH fender with what I thought was a better used one and added the washers to fit it temporarily. The original fender...

Re: Noticeable differences between a 1928 - 1929 Fordor Briggs sedan

My 60B is stamped on the firewall with the build date (Feb13, '29). I also have a 60A body for parts and it's stamped Dec, '28 (Can't recall the exact date). The only body differences seem to be the...

Re: What year is this shock?

No, it is taller. That shock has not been taken apart. Also the shaft is longer. I saw a picture, in a thread here, of a '32 but the shaft didn't look square to me. And I forgot to mention, the base...

What year is this shock?

Last weekend I was looking through a shed out at my Grandparent's farmyard, since it's being sold and I found an old Ford shock. It has a different cover than my Model A shocks and is taller when...

Re: Too nice for RatRod

Thanks Tom. That is what I was trying to say. The body or the interior did not look like they were tampered with at all. Just dropped onto a different chassis. Even the gastank was being used. Point...

Too nice for RatRod

I'm usually not one to judge, but I was at a Show & Shine lately and there was this RatRod that caught my eye. It looks to me a '30 Murray Fordor with good paint and original looking interior. It...
