Sorry,I lost those and all pics when my hard drive crashed 8 yrs ago. I did not connect the defroster ports-left then closed. From what I remember both hose port connections were at or near the top.1...

To answer the OP question.I did it (see pic I posted) and hose connections cleared the linkage ,block,and intake as well as mounting studs with the heater I used.Not all heaters will work.Make...

I can see it.It should be there.Here again but smaller.I went back and edited on post #3.I switched out the 39 trans for the T5 .The heater was installed before that conversion.

Here is a 36 coupe I had a few yrs ago.You can see the heater sort of behind the steering column in pic.I made a template so that the heater hose ports & mounting studs cleared the stock gas pedal...
