Re: Should I be concerned?

My '48 F-1 had a manifold like that when I bought it. The engine leaked oil all over and had fumes inside cab! I changed to the correct manifold and problem solved. Before and after pictures.

Made a floor shift out of the column shift mechanism on my '54 Ford. That was in 1961 or 2. Worked well.

Re: 55 Ford ranch wagon water pump question.

I have a '81 Fairmont with AC and a late 80's Thunderbird EFI 302 and thermostatic controlled mechanical fan that was on the engine. It has never ran hot under any conditions.

Re: 55 Ford ranch wagon water pump question.

Why do you want an electric fan? Use a fan off a Ford with AC.

Re: Engine Paint

If you look at the color, it looks about the same as Chevrolet orange. Maybe GM stole the color from Ford. The color in the picture I posted looks like what the '52-'53 Fords were as I remember. Very...

Re: Wiring in Turn signals ?

On my '48 F-1 I had to replace the parking light bulb sockets with double filament bulb sockets, The after market sockets were a little smaller so I built up solder on them to make them fit tight.

Re: GM 1 WIRE alternator

Ross F-1
I agree! What is the fascination with GM parts on a Ford anyway? My avatar does just fine with a Ford generator. No alternator.
