The larger resivor is for disc brakes because there pistons are bigger and need more fluid

I put a dual master on my 34.
The important question is what diameter master are you taking out.
If the diameter is smaller it will take more pedal travel to push the same a mount of fluid to stop...

I have 4:11 in the rear now with Strange axles and a power trax posi unit
I think I may go a little lower maybe 4:30 or 4:40

Number one detention will melt ring lands or knock out rod bearings

Late timing will kill performance and overheat the Engine and exhaust

If you know the bore size and the ring groove diameter call Hastings rings and if you want to run gapless rings call Total seal.

Rotella Oil Question

I spoke to Jerry at Schneider cams about cam wear and he assured me they have as much trouble with flatheads as overhead valve engines.
And I don’t feel like being a hero and experimenting for a $10...

I don’t know what Year oil started having zinc add to it but I do know by the fifty’s it had it and I also know the EPA had it removed a few years ago.
Ask any cam grinder they will tell you that...

Is that piston as thin as it looks in the picture.
Can you take a closer picture because maybe the casting was off and the top of the piston was thin so it melted.
I would change them all .

You need to know the exact bore size and the bores need to be straight
If the machine shop honed the cylinders on a Sunnen machine he should know if they are straight and he should know the exact...

If I had a good used cam I would send it to a cam grinder Like Schneider and have the lobes checked for wear and let them Parkerize the cam and than put the new lifters in.

If it’s a new Engine Schneider cams has a zinc that is formulated for engine break in that I use in all the new engine I rebuild and have had great luck.
