Re: New Rockers for a 1939 Convertible

I just cut the old floor out of my 39 Convertible coupe this afternoon. None of the floor had ever been touched and it only had two thicknesses present, the floor pan and the rocker panel over the...

Re: Rotisserie recommendations

I second that on the Whirly Jig. A little costlier than some, but I've been well pleased with mine. I have had it since 2006.

Re: remote oil filter, 59 ab, 36 coupe

I would suggest some 45* fittings in the housing so you can mount it vertically. Less mess when you’re changing the oil. Then add a stone shield as you had planned and you should be good to go.

Re: 1932 3W parked in 1952

I tried to open the Jalopy Journal earlier this evening and it wouldn’t open. Just had a line about how there was a problem with my website and I could click on a link about debugging in word press....

39 dash patch needed

Looking for a donor dash or just the section around the gauge area to repair a hacked up 39 convertible dash. I’d buy a whole dash or just a section.

Do you know the exact dimensions of those frames? I have a rear window frame that was in a pile of parts I got when I bought my 39 convertible. It is smaller than the 39 frame, but I’m not sure what...

Re: Chrome Prices

If it’s good quality triple plating, that price is not out of line. One of the larger chromers in the country just recently posted on social media a multi part pictorial following two grille halves...

Re: Need to put PS on a 51 Ford Victoria

I recently installed an electric power steering assist unit in a friends car. It was an EPAS brand kit that he had purchased. You have to cut your steering column and this basically splices in the...

Re: oil pans

A friend of mine gave me the engine out of his old retired 47 ton and a half grain truck. Of course it had the big 4 speed and 11" clutch and came from the factory with the two piece pan. I thought...

Re: Junk or repairable?

That is what I had planned except I was planning to sleeve all four of the head bolt holes with a .625 od tube instead of .500 after I make the welding repairs. It's hard to tell how thick the wall...

These are the only ones I find on this head. I'll blast the other one this evening and check it out. I have an oven and a tig as well as a mill, so I'll probably give it a go anyway. The heavy...

Re: Little off topic, metallic paint.
