Still have to fit the NOS points but if the fit well I'd say the new plate is not the problem

Same problem I had. Figured it was the repro upper plate but apparently not.

Been keeping my eye out for an NOS set of points. Grabbed one of those sets in your link. Also, try to use an original point block if possible. Bought a new one and the hole for the stationary point...
