Re: Rear Axle Housing Question

Sometime in the past someone replaced the housings on your car. The housing with the seam on the side is from a 1928 car. Both seams on a 1928 were on the side and are a mirror image. They both...

Re: Rear spring spreader

All the spring spreaders on the market shown in the posts above I consider a proper spring spreader. They are all equally safe. The only difference is the ease of using them. The ones for under $100...

Re: Rear spring spreader

The subject of the rear spring comes up often on this forum and from some of the responses posted it becomes apparent there are still people in the Model A hobby that do not believe the rear spring...

Re: Another rear wheel bearing question

I have had the surfaces sleeved on the axle housings a number of times for customers without a problem. Never had the drum hubs sleeved. I recommended that you locate a pair of original rear wheel...

Re: Question about distributor/condenser for Ford Model A - 1930

My recommendation is that the ignition on a Model A Ford be retained as Henry designed it. Over five million Model A's roamed the planet with it and it worked just fine. The condensers developed by...

I suspect that the high voltage windings in the coil are shorting out at high temperature. When you stop after driving the temperature under the hood goes up and the heat causes the windings to...
