I am looking for the metal plate that goes on the floorboard just over the battery..the one I have is rusted out...I would like a good original plate for my 30/31 coupe.

Back in the 60's I bought one of those GAZ engines from Ford Parts Obsolete ...When I had it rebuilt we found metric rings ... easier to just install new pistons and rings... The engines were NOS...

When I learned engine repair lots of years ago...we were taught how to knurl piston skirts...then we would undercut the ring grooves and install what was called "expanders" it really worked...

I have had that on cars I purchased....took the plugs out and put in Marvo Mystery Oil...could use Kroil ...I think it is the best on the market...

It may take several days to break it...

Ha ! I had 3 new diesel motors and lots of free time at work... plus... I enjoy building stuff that is different... I usually had lots of time between classes...(I worked at a college) a machine...

I made engine mounts in the front to bolt in just like the original mount and the rear mount the Bellhousing mount was fine... the fan is Opel as is the water pump...I had Brass Works make a stock...

You might want to rethink that.... I really like only having one tail light....I put a LED bulb in mine and the CHP stopped me as my tail light was too bright... plus only having one makes people...
